Spring Season · Tokyo
Three gatherings, shaped around the blossoms
Each experience has its own character and pace. Have a look at all three and find the one that feels right for your spring.
Back to HomeOur Gatherings
One season. Three ways to be in it.
We designed each gathering around a different kind of visitor — the one who wants to walk and learn, the one who wants to sit and be still, and the one who wants to spend a half-day moving slowly between the city's finest spring gardens.
All three are guided. All three are kept small. And all three are timed to the actual bloom, not to a fixed date on a calendar. If you are not sure which suits you, read through each one and see which pulls at you a little more than the others.

What every Lumex Tide Grid gathering includes
A knowledgeable guide
Every gathering is led by someone who knows the parks, the season, and the tradition — and who shares that knowledge naturally, without a script.
Bloom-timed scheduling
Gatherings are timed to the actual condition of the trees that week — not to a fixed date. You will see the blossoms at or near their peak.
Small group size
Groups are intentionally limited so the atmosphere stays calm and unhurried. This is not a large tour — it is a small gathering in the original sense.
Chosen paths away from the main crowds
We know the corners of Tokyo's parks that stay quieter at peak season. Every route is selected for its bloom quality and its sense of calm.
Clear, simple booking
Send us a message, tell us your preferred dates, and we confirm availability and details. No complicated booking systems, no uncertainty.
Flexible to your group
Whether you are visiting solo, with a companion, or as a small group, we will accommodate your situation and shape the gathering accordingly.
A note on seasonal timing
Cherry blossom season in Tokyo typically falls between late March and early April, though this varies from year to year depending on winter temperatures and spring weather patterns. The peak — when the trees are in full bloom — usually lasts around a week.
We track bloom forecasts each spring and adjust gathering dates accordingly. If you have a window of dates in mind, get in touch and we will let you know what looks most likely for the season ahead.
Before You Decide
Questions worth answering
How far in advance should I book?
As early as you are able. Gatherings during peak bloom fill up quickly, particularly in late March and early April. We recommend reaching out at least two to three weeks before your travel dates if possible, or earlier if you are planning during the expected peak window.
What if the blossoms have not fully opened by my date?
We will always tell you honestly where the bloom is when you are due to arrive. If conditions are significantly off, we will discuss options with you — including date flexibility where possible. We do not send guests out in conditions that would disappoint.
Are gatherings conducted in English?
Yes. All Lumex Tide Grid gatherings are guided in English. If you have a specific language requirement, mention it when you get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate.
What should I bring or wear?
Comfortable walking shoes and clothing suited to the weather on the day. Late March and early April in Tokyo can be warm in the sun and cool in the shade, so a light layer is usually sensible. We will send you full practical details after booking.
Can I book for a couple or a small group?
Yes — all three gatherings are suitable for individuals, couples, and small groups. If you are organising something for a larger party, get in touch and we can discuss what might be arranged.
